December 2, 2010 – People
Scripture: Numbers 8:19
From among all the Israelites, I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons to do the work at the tent of meeting on behalf of the Israelites and to make atonement for them so that no plague will strike the Israelites when they go near the sanctuary.
People have always been important in my life and especially during this past few months with Dad and all the hospital visits and going back and forth, friends and family have been really important. God says that He gave the Levites to Aaron and his sons to help with the work and to the Israelites in general to make atonement for them. In 1 Peter 2: 9, the Word says “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” We are given to the world as priests, we are called to witness to His Wonderful Light and to show a way out of the darkness.
Who are the gifts God has place into your life? Who are your called to be a gift to?
Anoint us again, Father, to be the gift to others that You have called us to be. Let us be Your instruments to aid others in there work. Thank you, Lord, for those who are Your gifts to us – for their prayers, their service, their presence, and their witness. In the Name of Jesus, our High Priest. Amen.
