Kathy and I have just come back from the 2013 Conference of The Missionary Church International (TMCI). TMCI is our parent church and spiritual covering for our ministry. The theme was “Walk It Out”. Sunday, I’m in church at Dahlonega United Methodist and Pastor Steve’s message is “Get Our of Your Shell”. Do you notice a trend starting. And then I get this email from the church prayer coordinator with a link on how to pray for Syria – and it starts “Christians shouldn’t sit on the sidelines…”. Okay, I’m slow but I get the message 😉
We haven’t written anything in the last few weeks – we are busy listening and didn’t have anything that we felt pressed to write but I wanted to share this with you. I’ll visit this more but for now, I’ll share the link that I mentioned. It’s to Joel C. Rosenberg’s blog. I share it because not only does it apply to praying for Syria but it applies to all of our walk with Christ. The four things that Joel mentions are what puts and keeps us in the game and not on the sidelines:
1. LEARN
2. PRAY
3. GIVE
4. GO
Be well,
Steve
